FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short answers. If yours isn't here, put it in the quote form and we'll answer it there.

General

Are you a licensed contractor?

No. Dreamy Draw Home Repair LLC is not a licensed contractor. We work under Arizona's handyman exemption, which covers minor repairs under $1,000 in total labor and materials that don't need a permit. If your job is bigger than that, we'll tell you up front and point you to a licensed contractor.

How do I get a quote?

Fill out the quote form with a short description and a few photos. Most small jobs can be quoted from photos alone. If we need to see it in person, we will schedule a quick visit.

What areas do you serve?

Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Fountain Hills and Cave Creek, Arizona.

Do you bring materials?

Yes for common parts like hardware, caulk, patch and fasteners. For fixtures you have picked out, like a faucet or ceiling fan, you buy it and we install it.

Do you handle rental and Airbnb turnovers?

Yes. Send the punch list and photos and we will quote the whole list. Landlords and hosts can book recurring visits.

Drywall & Paint

Can you match my wall texture?

Usually, yes. We match knockdown and orange peel by spraying and knocking down in thin passes, then check it under raking light before painting. Send a close-up photo with the quote request.

Do I need to have the paint?

If you have the leftover can, great. If not, we can get it color-matched from a chip cut from a hidden spot.

Doors & Windows

My sliding door is hard to open. Can it be fixed?

Most of the time the rollers are worn or the track is packed with dust. New rollers and a cleaned, adjusted track usually make it glide again for a fraction of the cost of a new door.

Can you rekey my locks?

We replace locksets and deadbolts with new keyed-alike hardware. For rekeying existing cylinders or master-key systems, a locksmith is the right call.

Fixtures & Minor Plumbing

Will you supply the faucet?

You can pick the faucet you like and we install it, or we can pick up a standard model. Either way the quote spells out who is buying what.

My toilet keeps running. Is that a handyman job?

Yes. A running toilet is almost always a flapper or fill valve, which is a quick fix.

Minor Electrical

Can you put a ceiling fan where there is only a light?

If the existing box is fan-rated, yes. If it is not, we can swap in a fan-rated brace box from the attic in many cases. If new wiring is needed, that is an electrician job and we will say so.

Can you add an outlet?

No. Adding an outlet means new wiring, which needs a licensed electrician. We can replace existing outlets, including with USB or GFCI versions.

Mounting & Assembly

Can you hide the TV cables?

We can run low-voltage cables (HDMI, ethernet) through the wall with a recessed plate kit, or use a paintable surface raceway. Adding a power outlet behind the TV needs an electrician.

Do you bring the mount?

You can supply one or we can bring a quality mount sized for your TV. The quote lists it either way.

Carpentry & Trim

Can you replace one section of baseboard?

Yes. We cut out the damaged run, fit a matching profile, caulk and paint it so the joint disappears.

Can you install new cabinet hardware?

Yes, including drilling for new pulls with a jig so every handle lines up.

Outdoor

My gate drags on the ground. Can it be fixed?

Usually. Sagging gates mostly need new hinges, a re-set post or a turnbuckle brace. If the post is loose in the ground we can re-set it.

Can you fix my drip irrigation?

Yes. We find and fix broken lines, replace clogged or missing emitters and swap failed valve heads. Controller programming is included if it is part of the repair.

Home Upkeep

Can you work from my home inspection report?

Yes. Send the report and we will mark which items we can handle and which need a licensed trade, then quote ours.

Do you offer recurring visits for rentals?

Yes. Landlords and hosts can set up recurring visits for filters, detectors and turnover repairs.

Got a list? Send it over.

Photos plus a sentence or two is all we need for a quote.
